Hip Replacement Surgery
Hip surgery is a procedure to repair or replace the hip joint, usually due to damage from arthritis, injury, or wear and tear. The most common type is hip replacement surgery, where the damaged parts of the hip joint are removed and replaced with artificial components made of metal, ceramic, or plastic.
It is done to relieve chronic pain, improve mobility, and restore function when other treatments like medication or physical therapy have failed. During the surgery, the surgeon removes the damaged bone and cartilage and replaces them with prosthetic parts to create a smooth, functioning joint.
